How we help you choose

  1. Start with the goalWhat is the money for, and when will you need it? The answer narrows the options quickly.
  2. Check your risk capacityNot just how you feel about risk, but how much loss your finances can actually absorb.
  3. Match the structureCosts, liquidity, tax treatment, minimums and how you'll hold the investment.
  4. Keep it simpleAdd complexity — like SIF or PMS — only when it serves a clear purpose.

Before choosing any product

  • Emergency fund in place
  • Adequate term and health insurance
  • High-cost debt under control
  • Goals written down with timelines

These foundations usually matter more than which fund you pick.

Frequently asked questions

Which product is best?

There is no single best product. The right choice depends on your goal, time horizon, risk capacity and the size of your portfolio. For most investors, mutual funds form the core; other products play specific roles.

Is SIF better than a mutual fund?

Not necessarily. SIFs allow different strategies and have higher minimums. They may suit experienced investors with larger portfolios, but they are not a replacement for a well-built mutual fund portfolio.

Should I mix insurance and investment?

We generally suggest keeping them separate: term insurance for protection and suitable investments for growth. This makes each easier to evaluate on cost and value.

Can I invest if I live outside India?

Yes, NRIs can invest in many Indian products, subject to KYC and FEMA rules. Some fund houses restrict investors resident in certain countries, such as the US and Canada, so we check this first.
